Colinas Farming promotes and practices sustainable farming and, at all times, uses “best management practices”. All vineyards we manage are certified by Fish Friendly Farming (FFF). We are actively involved in the Rutherford Dust River Restoration program and consider ourselves stewards to any riparian waterways in proximity to our ranches.
We always seek ways to encourage bio-control and bio-diversity through such means as installation of owl and blue bird boxes, reduced tillage, seeding of insectary cover crops, release of beneficial insects, use of sheep, and zero or minimization of insecticides.
What We Do
Working with our neighbors and university specialists, we closely monitor pest and disease pressures to ensure your vines remain healthy for years to come by utilizing integrated pest management practices.
Additionally, we help our clients maintain Fish Friendly Farming certification to protect the health and longevity of the surrounding habitat.
